Hunted: The Demon’s Forge

Just saw this write up on gamesradar.com about Hunted: The Demon’s Forge. So far they’ve hit my hot buttons, co-op in the vein of Gears of War but with a fantasy twist. The game looks to address a few areas that other cover based shooters lack or pitfalls they can fall into:

• the lack of female character leads
• varied class differences between the 2 main characters
• no grinding or XP mongering to level up or get upgrades
• ranged healing rather than having to save your buddies up close
• offering both melee, ranged and magic options for combat rather than just a single variety

Read more of the post for more info, but at the least the game looks great, sounds like a neat concept and definite tweak that could make it more fun than Fable 2, Gears of War 2 or Borderlands 2. Actually sequels are nice but sometimes something new added to the genre instead of just recycling the winning formula would be nice, oh wait, is that what we call “game design” and “innovation” but I forgot those are just buzzwords now for developers to make it sound new but not really so you’ll buy it again and again like a vicious little e-crack whore that you are. Right. Sorry soapbox there, anyways check out the preview.
